A HotSpring spa is designed to remain powered and maintain water temperature, rather than being switched off and reheated from cold before each use. This helps avoid repeated heavy warm-up cycles.

Predictable Weekly Use

With the cover fitted correctly and the spa used two to three times per week, normal use should not cause a major increase in power use. The spa continues maintaining temperature between uses.

Why Running Costs Stay More Predictable

A HotSpring spa is intended to stay on and maintain temperature. This means it is not constantly heating cold water from the start. Once the spa reaches the selected temperature, the system works to maintain that temperature between uses.

This is why normal use two to three times per week should not create a major power spike when the cover is used correctly and the spa is maintained properly.

How To Keep Running Costs Lower

  • Keep the cover closed when the spa is not being used.
  • Make sure the cover fits properly and is in good condition.
  • Install the spa in a protected area where possible.
  • Maintain filters, water quality and circulation according to dealer guidance.
